Over the next four weeks, we will be processing a lot of the information and activity that we have been a part of this summer. During the hectic time of the summer, it is often easy to get caught up in the moment and not to really process all that is going on at the time. That is why this time of year is so important. It gives us all time to take stock of what has happened and allows us to look at what needs to be improved and what needs work.
As the next four weeks unfold, our staff will be looking at a lot of what we have been doing and what our plans are for the future as well. We will talk among ourselves as a group, we will meet individually, and we will meet with our preachers that we have worked with this summer, too!
Then, the work begins for next year. Already, several of our teams have set the dates for next year, and we even have a few new teams waiting in the wings for us to help them develop. This is indeed an important and exciting time.
Please keep us in your prayers. We still have so much to do here in Guyana. It is important that we keep the main thing the main thing. It is vital that we know what we should do next and how we can do that job to the best of our ability.
In our planning, we have to make sure that we keep God in those plans, too. It is possible to so carefully plan our future and leave God out of those plans. That is the last thing we want to do.
So pray that God will stay central in our plans. Pray that we will do the things that God wants us to do. And pray that God will use us to that end.
In the coming weeks, we will formulate our plans and then pass that information along to you. We will also give a full report of all the activity that we have been involved in this summer. I think you will see from our report that we have been very busy, and that God has indeed used us in mighty ways.
Again, please keep us in your prayers. And thanks so much for your interest and support!
Yours for the cause of Christ,
Steve DeLoach
