We returned to the States the latter part of September and immediately
started running. Had to unpack real fast to re-pack.
It was great to see Brooke and Wayne again. Seems they managed fine without
us ... I guess that is bittersweet! haha Really, they are doing great.
They stayed in our house while we were gone and kept things up real nice.
The yard was beautiful! They are both working hard at their jobs and Wayne
is also involved in soccer. I've had fun watching his games with Brooke.
Meagan and Erin kept me busy making sure they got to meet up with their
friends when they got back. I felt like a taxi, but was so glad they were
back with their buddies. Meagan is going to be studying for her driver's
license. That'll help to have another driver.
We took Isaiah back for his check up on September 26th. The RNA level is
still at zero!!!!!!! The medical staff that we see in Little Rock are so
encouraging to us. It is just so important for Isaiah to get all his doses
of medicine and we have to really keep that up. He takes seven doses a day.
And as Isaiah says about one of them ... "it's bad!" And that particular
one is really bad. Hopefully before too long, he'll swallow a pill. We're
just so thankful to have access to the medicine.
Since his check up in Spring, he's grown 2 inches and gained about 3 pounds.
He's not real big, but solid as a rock and strong!
One highlight of our time in Guyana this year was the fact that a very dear
friend, André Browne, was baptized. He is a teen boy whom we've known since
1994. He's been like our "weekend son" and has gone to church with us
regularly. Many of you who have been to Guyana will remember him.
We really appreciate the interest you have in the work in Guyana and in our
family. We love hearing from you.
Love,
I am again late getting an article updated. Thank you so much for continuing
to check the Web site.
