When he was checked three weeks ago, his CD4 count had dropped enough that he
had to start back on his antibiotic three times a week. Since the CD4 had
dropped, there was concern that his HIV level had gone up. So for a long
three weeks, we were anxiously awaiting the results of the HIV level. But,
as it turned out, when he was checked, he was in the beginning stages of some
kind of infection. He began to run fever a couple of days after his check up
and had a bad sore throat. So, probably the CD4 count was low because of
that infection. But, until he is re-checked, he'll continue on the
antibiotic. We are so thankful to have the medications that he needs.
It was three weeks ago today that Isaiah went to Little Rock Children's
Hospital for his regular check up. We just got the results back today that
his HIV level is still UNDETECTABLE! This is just such a great blessing. We
thank you all so much for your continued prayers on behalf of Isaiah's
health.
| Yesterday, January 8th, Isaiah celebrated his fourth birthday!!!! I have a few pictures here for you to see how his day was! We are at my parent's in Jonesboro, Louisiana, and they were glad to be able to celebrate his birthday with him. You can tell from the pictures that he really enjoyed the firetrucks!!! It was fun!! |
Jan. 8, 2001 -- Isaiah's 4th birthday. He had a "dirt cake." Although he doesn't eat many sweets, he enjoyed digging around for the gummy worms! |
