Guyana Missions 1996 Summary

The work in Guyana, South America, in 1996 has indeed been blessed by God in fantastic ways. We praise God for His blessings and ask Him to help us as we continue to work in His kingdom in this country. There is still much to do.
This has been our busiest year ever. Some of the things we have been involved in are:
10 Medical Projects
Over 15,000 patients were treated in our clinics, all of whom had the opportunity to hear the saving message of Jesus.
350 precious souls were immersed into Christ during our clinics, and well over 110 were baptized during our follow-up.
Almost 30,000 attended our nightly evangelistic crusades.
20 different Nurturing Projects designed to equip and build up the saints.
5 Vacation Bible Schools
One group even built a church building!
What a fantastic year. We are making plans for next year and YOU can be a part of them!
Since May 1993 the church has averaged a baptism every day. We have watched the number of congregations explode from 26 in 1992 to over 59 today. We have watched the church grow from 3,000 to 6,000 members and people just like you had a big part in it!
If you are a faithful member of the Church of Christ, why not plan to join us? Things are already shaping up to make it a banner year. Several teams have set dates for next summer. Join us and let God use you to share His word with the beautiful people of Guyana.

May 25 thru June 2, 1996            Melanie (East Coast Highway)
June 1 thru June 9, 1996            Leonora (West Bank)
June 15 thru June 23, 1996          Plesance (East Coast Highway)
June 22 thru June 30, 1996          Triumph (East Coast Highway)
June 29 thru July 7, 1996           Nismes (West Bank)
July 13 thru July 21, 1996          Clonbrook (East Coast Highway)
July 20 thru July 28, 1996          Canal One (West Bank)
August 3 thru August 11, 1996       Grove (East Bank/Airport Road)
August 17 thru August 25, 1996      Woodley Park (East Coast Highway)

East Coast Highway Teams work East of Georgetown.

West Bank Teams work on the west bank of the Demerara River, which runs west of the city of Georgetown.

The Rosignol team works in Rosignol, which is on the east side of the Berbice River, about 60 miles east of Georgetown.

Cost of trip was $1,400 U.S., all inclusive from Miami, Florida, and back to Miami. (All inclusive covers: airfare, hotel, ground transportation, airport and exit taxes, Medical Evac insurance, and breakfast and supper buffets.)
